Brian Doody’s prolific, interdisciplinary approach to art making is heavily informed by growing up gay and working class in rural Maine and learning in non-traditional ways through out the years, be it through the internet, community, or experimenting liberally. Doody is a self taught artist currently living in Portland, Maine and a recipient of a 2017 Kindling Fund Grant from SPACE, a resident at Hewnoaks Artist Colony in 2019, and included in the 2020 CMCA Biennial in Rockland, Maine.
